Hard Mode idea: Unique Advantages
In hard mode, to increase the difficulty of fighting monsters, monster attack speed, movement speed, skill casting speed, and skill recharge rate are all increased to be 33-50% faster than normal. That's an ok idea, but I thought of an idea that may be a little more fun:
Currently, there is no difference in fighting, say, an Awakened Warrior and a bug other than the skillbar.
I propose that in hard mode, different enemy species get species specific advantages. This will make fighting flamingos a different experience than, say, fighting a heket.
Of course, I am not exactly how many species or what type of advantages would be best, but here are a few that come to mind:
Insects and Pets- +33% speed, +33% attack speed
Undead- Permanent +5 health regeneration
Titan- +50% attack speed
Mursaat, Elementals- +33% casting speed, +33% recharge time
Devourer- Every physical attack steals 10 life, attack +33% faster
Blood drinkers- Every spell steals 10 life, +33% casting speed
Afflicted- Soul Explosion
Dwarf, Human- +33% attack speed, +33% skill recharge time
Centaur- +50% speed
Demon- +20% damage
Of course these are all rough ideas which may or may not be balanced, and I didn't get all the species yet. However, the general concept is to make fighting different creatures FEEL different and require different tactics, rather than just look different.
